## ALGO-USD: What It Is

ALGO-USD refers to Algorand's native token, ALGO, priced in US dollars; the "-USD" is the quote currency of the trading pair, not part of the coin's name [[18]](https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/algorand/),[[20]](https://finance.yahoo.com/quote/ALGO-USD/).
