**Identity.** Synthetix (SNX) is a decentralized perpetual-futures (perps) and synthetic-asset protocol built on Ethereum Mainnet, founded in 2017 by Kain Warwick (originally launched as Havven). SNX is the native utility/governance token: staked as collateral to mint the sUSD stablecoin, used for governance (Spartan Council), and used to capture protocol fee revenue.
