GTC-USD denotes the trading pair for Gitcoin's governance token (GTC) priced in US dollars — the "-USD" is simply the quote currency and not part of the token's name [7][8]. Gitcoin is a public-goods funding platform built on Ethereum, best known for pioneering quadratic funding (QF) to allocate grants to open-source and Web3 projects [17][18].
