KAVA-USD is Kava's native token priced in U.S. dollars; the "-USD" is simply the quote currency of the trading pair and not part of the coin's name [4]. Kava is a hybrid Layer-1 built with the Cosmos SDK that also offers EVM compatibility, positioned as a DeFi settlement layer with native USDT, and now expanding into tokenized real-world assets (RWAs) and decentralized AI (DeAI) [6].
