What SKL is

SKL is the native utility token of the SKALE Network, a multi-chain, Ethereum-compatible network of application-specific "elastic sidechains" designed to offer gasless transactions for end users (dApps pay for compute via SKL staking/subscriptions rather than users paying per-transaction fees). SKL is used for staking by validators/delegators, for dApp subscription payments to run SKALE chains, and for governance participation.

The live market price of SKL is around $0.003552 with a modest 24-hour trading volume of roughly $2.85 million [1]. That is an extremely thin liquidity profile relative to major L1/L2 tokens, which is itself a meaningful risk factor (see below).
