What FAI actually is

FAI (traded as FAI/USD) is the native utility and governance token of Freysa AI, a project that began as a viral game where players tried to persuade an AI agent ("Freysa") to release a crypto prize pool [4]. The token is deployed on the Base network (an Ethereum L2) as an ERC-20 token, with a fixed maximum supply of 8,189,700,000 FAI (chosen to represent one per living person at launch) that was fully distributed via a "fair launch" liquidity pool, with LP tokens burned [5], [6]. The developer, Eternis AI (co-founders Srikar Varadaraj, Pratyush Ranjan Tiwari, Ken Li, Augustinas Malinauskas), secured a $30 million funding round in May 2025 led by Coinbase Ventures and Selini Capital [1], [4].
