What RSR and Reserve Protocol are

RSR (Reserve Rights) is one of two native tokens of the Reserve Protocol, a decentralized protocol for asset-backed stablecoins; the other is RSV. RSR's roles are to overcollateralize the protocol's stablecoins, to be staked into Reserve stablecoin pools (yielding APY to stakers), and to serve as the governance token enabling holders to vote on proposals [12]. The protocol's stated aim is a decentralized, inflation-resistant reserve currency [15]. As with the "RSR-USD" pair in your question, the "-USD" is just the quote currency (RSR priced in dollars), not part of the coin's name.
